Why achieving Grade 8 Ballet is a huge accomplishment?
Studying ballet is a great way to stay fit and improve your overall physical health. It strengthens your muscles, bones, and joints while enhancing flexibility, balance, and coordination.
Grade 8 ballet is the highest level of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) graded syllabus. It is a significant accomplishment because it requires a high level of technical proficiency, artistry, and musicality.
The syllabus for Grade 8 ballet includes complex movements such as pirouettes, grand jetés, and adage, which require a great deal of strength, control, and precision.
In addition to the physical demands, Grade 8 ballet also requires a deep understanding of the art form, including its history, terminology, and musicality.
Overall, studying Grade 8 ballet is a significant achievement that requires dedication, discipline, and hard work. Congratulations to anyone who has achieved this accomplishment, particularly our very own student Olivia. Olivia started ballet at 4years old at RW dance and has continued studying with us gaining her GCSE dance at Grade 7 ( equivalent to an A ). She is now studying Grade 8 Ballet and is due to take this examination in February. Keep up the hard work.
